DK has developed innovative dome building techniques of the highest technical and economical efficiency.

Our domes are constructed from shell panels made from glass-fibre/epoxy resin composite which is extremely lightweight yet strong and durable; with low thermal expansion and no shrinkage problems. This type of dome construction can have as little as 10-15% of the weight of an equivalent dome built in concrete. This is a major advantage, especially where there are risks of earthquakes.

DK’s systems is designed to withstand the most extreme climates. Using high tech materials and techniques the domes are completely waterproofed. Joints are sealed with PTFE Teflon sealant to prevent water penetration. As a secondary back-up system, a drainage channel is moulded into the panel flanges.
